Meet Our Team
Chris Aardema is the owner of Salt Lake Motorcycle Co. Years ago, he opened a different shop called Back Alley Bobbers with a good friend. Now it has evolved into Salt Lake Motorcycle Co. with one of the best locations and most helpful staff when it comes to all things motorcycles in Salt Lake City. Chris’s favorite part of working with motorcycles is you—the customers. He loves meeting new riders every day, helping them accessorize their bikes and get on the road safely. His favorite part of owning Salt Lake Moto is the friendships made with customers and the family-like bond between current and former employees.
Chris’s motorcycles: the pick of whatever is on the showroom floor that day.
Tom Russell is Salt Lake Motorcycle Co.’s Lead Service Technician. As a Salt Lake City native, Tom loves the local business environment of Salt Lake Moto and is the proud owner of four motorcycles.
His favorite part about his job—and working with motorcycles in general—is that he gets to use his brain while working with his hands. Tom joined the Salt Lake Moto team after closing his own shop. He heard Chris needed a tech, came in to apply and the rest is history.
Tom’s motorcycles: 1973 Honda CB360, 1981 Honda XR200R, 2006 KLX, 2005 Harley Sportster.
Tristian Smith works on the Salt Lake Moto team as a Service Technician. When Tristian finished school, he was looking for a shop that does things the right way and the internet led him to our shop.
Tristian loves the variety of working on and test riding all types of bikes at the shop. Tristian—a Salt Lake City native—says his favorite part of working at Salt Lake Moto is working with Tom and Chris.
Tristian’s motorcycles: Sportster 1200 and a KTM for the dirt
